The International Cheer Union (ICU) currently encompasses nearly 80 member nations and continues to grow as a unified voice for all those who are dedicated to the positive advancement of cheerleading throughout the world. The ICU is structured to provide balanced input and governance based on the various stages of development in which cheerleading finds itself across the globe.

The ICU would like to give teams around the world the opportunity to travel and compete at international championships on the globe inbetween the official world or continental championships worldwide.
